Joel is married to wife, Monica for 20 years and has one son and one daughter. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1976 with a degree in Business Management. He has owned and managed his own business since 1978. During the past 30 years Joel has personally purchased 7 homes, 4 ranches, and 5 commercial properties which provide him with personal and up-close experience in these kinds of transactions. Joel and Monica live in River Mountain Ranch near Boerne where he is currently serving as President of the Property Owners Association. Joel is also responsible for starting a Texas Tech Alumni Association here in Boerne. He is a graduate of Leadership Boerne, class of 2005 and continues to serve the community.
